A 23-year-old man was found dead morning of Jan 2, 2021 inside his home in Pavia, Iloilo.
Police said John may have committed suicide.
Members of Pavia Police Station were called to investigate after a resident informed them of reeking odor emanating from her neighbor’s house at Parc Regency Subdivision at Barangay Aganan, Pavia, Iloilo.
Major Jojo Tabaloc, Povia police chief, said the doors and windows were locked when they arrived.
When they peeped through the window, they saw the victim hanging in the living room.
Tabaloc said the victim was last seen alive on Dec 29, 2020.
Someone even brought him food on Dec 24, but the neighbor claimed that the victim seemed to be melancholic.
If he indeed committed suicide, it remains unclear what triggered him to do so.
But his family wanted a post-mortem examination be conducted on his remains.
