Newly designated Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director Brigadier General Leo Francisco is not someone to complicate things.
On his first flag-raising ceremony as the top police officer of Western Visayas, Francisco had simple reminders to PRO-6 personnel.
These range from punctuality, taking responsibility for their duties, and maintenance of their surroundings.
“Gawin nating malinis and ating kampo, ni-rerequire ko kayong lahat na pumasok ng maaga, kasi sa pagpasok nyo sa tamang oras, binibigay na natin and tamang serbisyo na dapat na kapalit ng ating kinikita,” he said.
“Ayusin natin ang mga bagay-bagay, tulad ng parking at ipinagbabawal ko ang mga tarpaulins na nakasabit sa mga bakod. There must be a common tarpaulin area,” he further said.
Francisco also reminded all unit commanders all over the region to answer all calls any time of the day or night.
This is on top of asking for support from all personnel as he began his stint as the region’s top cop.
During the flag-raising ceremony, Francisco also led the recognition of select PNP personnel who notched praiseworthy accomplishments in the performance of their duties.
Lieutenant Andy Ofalia and Master Sergeant Wilfredo Cometa of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) alongisde Lieutenant Dennis Melgarejo and Corporal Mark Jayson Galoso of Kabankalan Component City Police Station in Negros Occidental were given the PNP Heroism Medal.
Lieutenant Bienvinido Pintor, Jr. and Master Sergeant Michael Nemis of Balete Municipal Police Station of Aklan Province received the PNP Commendation Medal.
A certificate of appreciation was given to Police Executive Master Sergeant Junel Perania for winning a gold medal in Karatedo during the World Police and Fire Games 2022.
Francisco noted that the awardees deserve recognition for the selfless service they extended to the people in their respective assignments
