WV lists 134 new COVID-19 cases, 210 recoveries

The Department of Health-Western Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH-WV CHD) on Nov. 2, 2020 reported 134 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and 210 new recoveries to its tally.
The latest batch of cases includes 124 local cases, 6 Locally Stranded Individuals (LSI), and 4 Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROF).
Negros Occidental logged the highest number of new cases with 35, followed by Iloilo province with 32, Iloilo City with 27, Bacolod City with 17, Capiz with 9, Aklan with 3, and Guimaras with 1.
One new LSI case was reported each in Bacolod City, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo City, Iloilo province, and Negros Occidental.
The 4 new ROF cases are all from Iloilo province:
– 29-year-old male from Dingle (WV 16892);
– 36-year-old male from Sara (WV 16951);
– 34-year-old female from Sta. Barbara; and
– 46-year-old male from Sara.
The region now has 3,033 active COVID-19 cases.
Negros Occidental accounts for more than 50 percent of these active cases with 1,515, followed by Iloilo City with 534, Iloilo province with 512, Bacolod City with 302, Capiz with 135, Aklan with 19, Guimaras with 10, and Antique with 6.
As to symptoms in active cases, 78.80 percent are asymptomatic, 15.76 percent have mild symptoms, 4.91 percent are severe, and 0.40 percent yet to be verified.
Most of the new recoveries in the region as of Nov. 2 are from Negros Occidental with 95, followed by Iloilo City with 84, Iloilo province with 21, and Capiz with 10.
No new deaths were recorded by the DOH-WV CHD.
The total number of cases in the region as of Nov. 2 is now at 16,982, with 13,559 total recoveries and 390 deaths.
