World Travel Expo caps regional tour Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY — The World Travel Expo (WTE) Year 10 will make its final regional stop at SM City Iloilo from Sept. 25 to 27.
The three-day event, which runs Friday to Sunday, carries the theme “Xtraordinary Journeys, Xceptional Memories.”
“At its heart, the World Travel Expo has always been about people. It is about the destinations that inspire us, the communities that welcome travelers, and the individuals who work behind every experience that makes a journey memorable,” WTE Managing Director Miles Caballero said.
The Iloilo stop follows WTE events in Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and Cebu as part of the expo’s 10th-year celebration.
Organizers said Iloilo was chosen for its cultural heritage and tourism offerings, as well as its growing role in the tourism industry.
Organizer Ad Asia Events describes the Iloilo leg on its website as a showcase of Western Visayas as a key growth market in Philippine tourism.
The expo will give regional tourism stakeholders a venue to promote local destinations, products, and experiences to visitors and industry participants.
Travelers can also explore travel offerings while meeting tourism businesses and organizations.
Organizers said the event also aims to foster connections that could lead to partnerships and other opportunities beyond the expo.
The 10th-year series has brought the expo to destinations across the Philippines, with 2026 events in Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Iloilo, and Metro Manila, reflecting its nationwide reach across major tourism markets.
