BACOLOD CITY — A woman visiting her detained live-in partner was arrested after police allegedly found an improvised tooter and a sachet of suspected shabu during a routine inspection at Police Station 5 in Barangay Granada on Sunday.
Capt. Andy Ofalia, chief of Police Station 5, said the woman was supposed to bring food to her detained partner when she allegedly tried to bring the contraband into the facility.
Ofalia said the improvised drug paraphernalia was discovered after it fell from an umbrella the woman placed on a table.
A further inspection allegedly yielded a sachet of suspected shabu valued at PHP 6,800 inside a pouch.
Ofalia said the woman’s live-in partner had been arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay 19 three weeks earlier.
Charges for illegal possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia were filed against the woman on Monday under Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
