ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 53-year-old woman was arrested by police in a drug buy-bust operation Sunday morning in President Roxas, Capiz.
The Pres. Roxas PNP and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) nabbed Oliva Dorado at Boac Cemetery, Barangay Cabug-Cabug, Pres. Roxas.
Recovered from Dorado were six plastic sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of 8 grams and market value of P54,400; the P500 marked money, P5,500 boodle or fake money and a cellphone.
A resident of Barangay Enseñegan, Panitan, Capiz, Dorado will be charged for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). She is presently detained at the President Roxas Municipal Police Station.
Meanwhile, a senior citizen facing estafa charges was also arrested Sunday morning at his house at Lusabia Street in Barangay Poblacion Tabuc, Mambusao, Capiz.
Ramon Lavapiez, 62, did not resist when the police served the warrant for his arrest for five counts of estafa.
The warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Daniel Antonio Gerardo S. Amular of Branch 21, Mambusao, Capiz on July 4, 2005.
