BACOLOD City – Seventy-seven grams of suspected shabu worth P510,000 was seized from a young woman in a buy-bust operation at Bangga Bagul, Barangay Granada here Sunday night.
Police Lieutenant Melvin Mercado, deputy chief of Police Station 5, identified the subject as Mariane Gumban, 25, of the said village.
Mercado said Gumban is No. 2 in the “priority list” of the police station, and considered a “high value individual.”
Mercado said they placed Gumban under monitoring for two months after receiving information on her alleged engagement in the illegal drug trade.
“Ka danlog ni abi sa iya kag gasaylo-saylo,” Mercado said, adding that they received information that she also came from Barangay 27 here.
Mercado said they are checking with other police stations if Gumban was previously arrested.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) confiscated more than P1 million worth of illegal drugs in a span of 1 day, including the seizure of P523,600 worth of suspected shabu from three persons in a drug bust in Barangay Punta Taytay.
