BACOLOD City – About 125 grams of suspected shabu worth P850,000 was seized from a woman during a buy-bust operation at Fatima Village, Barangay Piapi in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental Sunday night.
Arrested was Elena Dales Merced, 43, of Barangay Poblacion 4, a provincial level high-value target of the police.
Joint operatives of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), Dumaguete City Police Station, and 702nd Maritime police in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), conducted the operation.
Recovered from Merced were three sachets of suspected shabu, the P1,500 marked money, and a motorcycle.
Drug charges will be filed against Merced, who is detained at the police station.
In Negros Occidental, Larry Servales, 40, of Barangay Washington, Escalante City was arrested in a drug bust at the said village last Sunday.
Police confiscated from Sevales four sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,200, and the P1,500 marked money.
