Woman killed, live-in partner hurt in motorcycle accident

BACOLOD City – A woman died while her live-in partner was wounded after the latter’s motorcycle crashed on a slippery road in Barangay San Isidro, Toboso, Negros Occidental last Monday. Killed in the accident was Julieta Librado, 24, of Barangay Tabun-an while the wounded was Reymode Averena, 27, of Barangay Tabun-ac.

BACOLOD City – A woman died while her live-in partner was wounded after the latter’s motorcycle crashed on a slippery road in Barangay San Isidro, Toboso, Negros Occidental last Monday.
Killed in the accident was Julieta Librado, 24, of Barangay Tabun-an while the wounded was Reymode Averena, 27, of Barangay Tabun-ac.
Police Staff Sergeant Eugene Kangkee, chief investigator of Toboso Municipal Police Station, said the victims were on their way to work here when Averena lost control of their motorcycle.
Kangkee said Librado suffered head injuries and died on the spot. She was not wearing a helmet.
Averena had a helmet and sustained minor injuries.
Since it was self-inflicted, Kangkee said that the families of both victims had an initial settlement.
