BACOLOD City – A woman was wounded in a stabbing incident inside a motel in Barangay Taculing here last Wednesday.
Police withheld the name of the 37-year-old victim from Barangay Sum-ag here.
Police Major Leo Estopa, head of Police Station 6, said the suspect invited the victim to ride on his tricycle at Barangay 26.
Estopa said the victim alleged that she had a misunderstanding with her live-in partner, thus she agreed to go with the suspect, who brought her to a motel where they had sexual intercourse.
The victim told the police that the suspect got mad at her when she refused another round.
“Nag lalisay sila kay indi na ang baye pero namilit ang laki, tapos masugot kuno ang baye kung bayran siya,” he added.
Estopa said the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim with a steel rod and fled on board his driven tricycle without paying the motel.
When police arrived, they saw the victim bathed in blood at the doorstep of the room. They also recovered the steel rod.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
She is stable now, according to Estopa.
Estopa said they are trying to look for closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage in nearby areas to help them identify the suspect.
