BACOLOD City – A woman was injured after a 10-wheeler truck crashed into a house at Sitio Cagay, Barangay Su-ay Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Monday.
Police identified the victim as Amy Pineda, 51, of the said village.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Jonel Guadalupe, city police chief, said driver Ernie Parreño of Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, allegedly lost control of the truck which swerved towards Pineda’s house.
Pineda was taken to Kabankalan City District Hospital and was later discharged after being treated for minor injuries.
Guadalupe said Parreño fled because of fear, but his employer went to the police station and settled the matter with the victim, he added.
