Woman hit by stray bullet in Cuartero

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Cuartero Municipal Police Station is investigating the case of a woman who was wounded by a stray bullet on Sunday at Sitio Cayusan, Barangay Sinabsaban in, Cuartero, Capiz.

Victim Edna Carillo is now recuperating in a hospital here after she was hit by a stray bullet on her leg.

According to Police Lt. Acquilles Fangco, Cuartero PNP chief, Carillo was on her way home from the wake of a relative Sunday evening when gunfire erupted.

Few seconds past, she felt blood oozing out of her leg.

She asked help from her husband who immediately brought her to the nearest hospital. Police are still investigating the incident.
