A woman was found dead on the riverbank in Barangay Mansaya, La Paz, Iloilo City early morning of June 7, 2022.
A resident spotted the body among the rocks at the riverbank near the gasoline depots around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Major Jose Val Ladublan, Iloilo City Police Station 2 chief, said the victim has yet to be identified as of this writing.
She was around 50 years old and was wearing a black shirt and black shorts when found.
Ladublan said she had no superficial injuries except for some fish bites on her legs.
“It’s highly possible that she was just swept in the area and not from La Paz district,” he said.
As per initial reports, the victim could have been dead for more than 12 hours when found.
