A 28-year-old jobless woman was arrested in a police anti-illegal drug operation late evening of Dec 6, 2022 in Ajuy, Iloilo.
Jena Mae Godalle, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Ajuy, was collared at her mother’s house at NHA Village in Barangay Tipacla after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P1,500.
Members of the Ajuy Municipal Police Station, together with the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (IPPO-PDEU), IPPO Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the PNP Maritime Station conducted the operation.
Recovered from the suspect were nine sachets of suspected shabu, the marked money, and a black pouch.
Lieutenant Jojo Octavo, Ajuy police chief, said the seized shabu is worth P34,000.
Octavo said the suspect has been on their watchlist for quite a while already.
“She has been the subject of monitoring for months. There were also several attempts to arrest her,” he said.
She was not a Tokhang surrenderer because she left Ajuy during the Duterte administration.
She was monitored to have gone back into the drug trade after Duterte’s term, Octavo added.
Godalle is now detained and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9166 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
