The victim was identified as Kennah Mae Santibañez, 33.
Police Captain Eric Doronilla, town police chief, said the incident happened while Santibañez was washing their laundry. She did not notice that their washing machine’s wiring was open and was touching the floor.

Doronilla said Santibañez was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital.
He said the incident should serve as a lesson to households to secure their electrical outlets and appliances at home.
