Woman busted with P170-K ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – A woman was again arrested in a buy-bust operation at Purok Riverside, Barangay Bata here last Thursday following the seizure of 25 grams of suspected shabu worth P170,000.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), busted Jennifer Abitong, 40, of Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 here.
She is an alleged street-level individual, according to the police.
Police also recovered from her the P1,000 marked money and P200 personal cash.
Police Captain Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said that Abitong was previously arrested for a drug offense in 2018.
She was released from jail in 2021 after serving her sentence and applying for plea bargaining, according to Mogato.
Prior to her drug offense, Mogato said that Abitong also had a case for bribery. But, he has no specific details about the said case.
