Wife killed in motorcycle crash

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 59-year-old housewife died in a road mishap late Sunday afternoon at the National Highway in Barangay San Esteban, Pilar, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Nelda Dacles of Barangay Bailan, Pontevedra, Capiz, while her husband and driver of the motorcycle, Avelino, 62, and 5-year-old grandson were injured.
Investigation by Corporal Jaypee Tomogda of Pilar Municipal Police Station indicated that the couple were on their way home from Barangay Sta. Fe, Pilar when Avelino lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a steel barrier.
The wife was immediately taken to Bailan District Hospital but she was declared dead on arrival.
