Western Visayas’ top wanted person arrested in Bulacan

ILOILO CITY — Western Visayas’ top most wanted person was arrested late Thursday afternoon, Oct. 9, in Baliwag City, Bulacan.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Je,” 46, a resident of Barangay Tuburan, Passi City.
He was arrested at his workplace in Barangay Hinukay, Baliwag City.
Personnel of the Passi City Police Station, in coordination with the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit, Tarlac Police Provincial Office, Pampanga Police Provincial Office, Bulacan Police Provincial Office, Mexico Municipal Police Station and Baliwag City Police Station, arrested the suspect on the strength of a warrant for murder.
The court issued the warrant Sept. 9, 2026, with no bail recommended.
Lt. Col. German Magbanua III, Passi City police chief, said the suspect was charged in connection with the killing of his drinking companion several months ago.
Police said a witness came forward and testified that the suspect allegedly attacked the victim with a knife while they were riding a motorcycle.
The suspect allegedly fled Western Visayas immediately after the incident.
He remains under the custody of the Baliwag City Police Station for documentation before being turned over to the court concerned.
