Western Visayas police arrest 110 wanted persons

ILOILO CITY — Police arrested 110 wanted persons during weeklong manhunt operations across Western Visayas.

Records from the Police Regional Office 6 showed that the fugitives were arrested from July 20 to 26, 2026.

Of the total, 19 were classified as most wanted persons, while 91 were listed as other wanted persons.

Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño, director of Police Regional Office 6, said the arrests resulted from intensified intelligence operations and coordinated manhunt efforts.

“This showed that we haven’t slowed down in our strive to arrest those who are wanted by the law,” he said.

The Iloilo Police Provincial Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 41.

The Iloilo City Police Office recorded 22 arrests, while the Antique Police Provincial Office logged 15.

Tuaño said other police units also contributed to efforts to remove wanted persons from the streets.

He added that the accomplishment reflected the continued strengthening of intelligence gathering, coordination, and the immediate response of operating units in serving arrest warrants.

“Ang bawat wanted person na ating naaaresto ay isang hakbang tungo sa mas ligtas at mas mapayapang komunidad. Mananatili tayong agresibo sa paghahanap at pagdakip sa mga taong nagtatago sa batas upang matiyak na maihaharap sila sa hukuman at mananagot sa kanilang mga ginawa,” Tuaño said.

He also urged the public to cooperate with police by providing timely and relevant information about the whereabouts of fugitives.

Tuaño vowed that the regional police would continue its campaign against wanted persons.
