Welder from Negros stabbed dead in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A welder from Bacolod City was declared dead on arrival in a hospital after he was stabbed by a fellow welder Saturday evening at Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City.
Police identified the victim as Jubert Castillo Manuguid of Purok Tapulanga Hills, Phase V, Bacolod City while the suspect was identified as Randy Dizon of Brgy. Piña, Maayon, Capiz.
Investigation by the Roxas City PNP indicated that the incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. Saturday per information from Charlie Parlocha, also a welder.
Parlocha said that he shouted when he saw Dizon stabbing Manuguid.
Another helper, Richel Pama Dawatan, said that at about 10:20 p.m., he saw the victim enter his barracks to return a cellphone. A few minutes later, he heard a loud noise and when he checked the area, he saw the bloodied victim.
With the help of other bystanders, they took the victim to the nearest hospital but he was declared dead by the attending physician around 12:03 a.m. Sunday due to fatal stab wounds on the breast and abdomen.
The police launched a manhunt operation against Dizon who remains at large.
