BACOLOD City – A watchmaker was gunned down by two unidentified men on a motorcycle at Barangay Talaban, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on June 10, 2019.
Killed was Bonifacio Nombre Jr., 53, of the said village.
Investigation showed that the two suspects arrived past 12 p.m. and pretended to look for a watchmaker who will fix a broken wristwatch.
When they saw the victim, they went to a nearby hut and sat there for a while.
While the victim was fixing the broken wristwatch, one of the suspects who was later identified as Marlon Luntayao of Pontevedra town, went out of the hut and told them that he will just park the motorcycle properly.
However, Luntayao’s companion approached the victim and shot him twice in the head. The assailants then fled.
Police have yet to determine the motive.
