Wanted young man nabbed for mother, son slay in Talisay

BACOLOD City – A young man wanted for the crime of three counts of murder was arrested at Purok Kabulakan, Barangay Zone 10, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on May 12.

Arrested was Ivan Tribaco, 26, of the said village.

Tribaco is the top 1 most wanted person in Western Visayas, top 8 in the provincial level, and sixth in the city level, based on a police report.

Police Captain Judesses Catalogo, public information officer of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), said the suspect was tagged in the killing of a mother and son in Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City in March this year.

The two victims were riding a motorcycle on their way home when they were shot by unidentified perpetrators. They both died on the spot, while an eight-year-old boy was wounded in the gun attack.

The arrest warrant was issued by acting Presiding Judge Maria Lina Palencia Gonzaga of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 42 here, dated May 8, 2023.

The court recommended no bail for the suspect’s offenses.

Prior to his apprehension, the suspect through his social media account, has denied any involvement in the incident.
