ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A man wanted for the crime of rape was arrested Saturday morning at Barangay Mianay, Sigma, Capiz.
A certain Jose Apsay, 63, and resident of Barangay Ondoy Ivisan, Capiz did not resist when the Ivisan police served the warrant of arrest for the crime of rape in relation to Republic Act 7610 in Criminal Case No. C-47-21.
The operation was jointly conducted by the Ivisan and Sigma PNP, PRO ACT and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG Capiz).
The arrest warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 14 Judge Faustino V. Roxas Jr. on February 18, 2021.
No bail was recommended for Apsay’s temporary liberty.
The police also recovered from the suspect a .38-caliber revolver with five live ammunitions.
Apsay is presently detained at Ivisan police station.
