ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A wanted person in Cuartero, Capiz was arrested Friday afternoon at Brgy. Punta Tabuc here.
The Cuartero Municipal Police Station and Roxas City police nabbed Jobert Casabuena, 32, of Barangay Maindang also in Cuartero.
Tagaytay City Regional Trial Court Branch 18 Judge Jaime B. Santiago issued the warrant on September 12, 2014.
Casabuena went into hiding after committing the crime in Tagaytay City eight years ago.
The suspect is presently detained at the Cuartero Municipal police station and will be turned over to the court of origin for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old person was collared in a drug bust operation Friday night at Barangay Cudian in Ivisan, Capiz.
Prince Christian Rosillo of Purok 1, Barangay Libas here was busted by the Ivisan Special Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) led by Major Francisco Paguia.
Recovered from Rosillo were four sachets of suspected shabu, and the P500 marked money.
The suspect is presently detained at Ivisan Municipal Police Station while charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) are being readied against him.
