Police identified the victim only as “Arnel,” a resident of Barangay 35.
He was reportedly working on a renovation project when the comfort room wall of the establishment gave way and fell on him.
A co-worker later found him buried under the debris.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Bacolod, the victim had already been pulled from the rubble and placed on a tricycle before responders arrived.

He was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival, said Police Capt. Greeky Cayao, chief of Police Station 8.
Authorities are still investigating whether negligence was involved – either on the part of the victim or in the establishment’s implementation of construction safety protocols.
