Vulcanizer falls in drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 42-year-old tire vulcanizer here was arrested Thursday afternoon for allegedly selling illegal drugs.

Jenevic Delamide, a native of Maayon, Capiz, was collared in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Roxas City Police Station in his residence at Datiles St., Barangay Tiza here.

Recovered from Delamide were three sachets of suspected shabu, PHP1,000 marked money, and several drug paraphernalia.

According to Police Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles, Public Information Officer of the Roxas City Police Station, Delamide is a newly identified drug personality and a drug surrenderer in his barangay.

Arcangeles said it took a month of monitoring and surveillance before the operation was conducted.

Delamide is presently detained at the police station while charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against him.
