The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iloilo Provincial Office, through its Negosyo Centers in New Lucena and Leganes, trained 20 women entrepreneurs from six local associations in New Lucena, Iloilo, on product branding during a packaging and labeling seminar on Aug. 13, 2023.
The session, led by business counselors Joella Opina and Daniellee Hortillas, highlighted the role of good packaging in attracting customers, creating eye-catching labels, and building a strong brand identity.
Participants learned practical strategies to improve product presentation and market appeal, then applied their skills by designing and finalizing packaging, logos, and labels under the guidance of the facilitators.
The program was organized in partnership with the Municipal Tourism Office, IPAD SIAD (Sea Inc.), and the DTI Iloilo Provincial Office, reflecting a shared commitment to empower local women entrepreneurs and strengthen their competitiveness in the market.
