A village official who was accused of frustrated murder voluntarily surrendered in Badiangan, Iloilo.
Barangay Captain Nestor Adorador, 45, of Tamocol, Badiangan turned himself in to Badiangan Police Station morning of November 26.
Lieutenant Ma. Doreen Losaria, Badiangan police chief, said Adorador was accused of violating Article 348 of the Revised Penal Code docketed as Criminal Case No. CC 21-1182.
Judge Redentor Eugene Esperanza of the Regional Trial Court Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo, issued the arrest warrant on Nov. 9, 2021.
Bailbond for his temporary liberty was fixed at P200,000.
Losaria said that the suspect was accused by a resident of a nearby village several months ago.
Adorador immediately posted bail after turning himself in.
