ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Punong Barangay Alfredo “Menong” Albaladejo of Tiza village here denied the strafing of the house of the chief executive officer (CEO) of 25 days double your money investment scheme.
Albaladejo shared his observation to the Roxas City police after no empty ammunition shell were recovered from the crime scene.
He added that the steel gate and concrete fence of the house of Madam O or Junelyn Obamos Gregorio has no bullet marks.
Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Jomuad, Jr., Roxas City police chief, said Thursday afternoon that no one reported the incident, not even Gregorio’s household or the village officials.
But police investigators still went to the scene of the alleged strafing
“The gate has a dent, but it doesn’t look like it was hit by a bullet. If it was from a bullet, it could have penetrated through and through. It was probable that it came from a stone thrown at the gate,” Jomuad said.
When police knocked on the house, only a caretaker went out to face them.
Gregorio was allegedly not around, and the caretaker could not give any statement.
Jomuad said policemen also tried looking for answers from Gregorio’s neighbors but none came out.
They also did not recover a bullet or ammunition shell at the scene.
Residents awoke to reports on February 4 that unidentified gunmen strafed the house of Gregorio, an investment scheme founder.
Gregorio’s neighbours at San Jose Ville, Brgy Tiza in Roxas City heard gunfire early Thursday morning.
Gregorio, or more known as Madame O, is the chief executive officer of the 25 Days Double Your Money Investment Scheme.
Initial reports claimed that a bullet allegedly penetrated the gate and seven empty shells were found in the area.
Recently, several investors filed a complaint against Gregorio after the latter allegedly took off with their money. The woman started her operation in December 2020 only.
But a few days back, lawyer Vicente Atlas Catalan, Gregorio’s legal counsel, said that his client would return the partial capital of her investors on February 20.
It was what Catalan and around 30 investors of 25 Days Double Your Money Investment Scheme agreed to last week.
If she would not stand by her words to give the partial investment, Catalan allegedly said he would resign as her counsel.
