ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A rape charge was filed before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office against the punong barangay of Poblacion in Dumalag, Capiz.
Village chief Sebastian Philip Michael Salazar was accused of raping lnday (not her real name).
The alleged rape happened in April this year.
Salazar denied the allegations.
“Never in my wildest dream that l was accused of rape,” he said.
Salazar said he cannot yet answer the allegations as he has yet to receive the official copy of the complaint.
He added that he could not ascertain the motive behind the case.
“I’m hoping that my children and family will not be affected by the issue,” he said while assuring that he can still perform his task as barangay captain.
