Inspired with the advocacy of discovering Ilonggo fashion designers, MEGAWORLD Iloilo’s Festive Walk Mall in partnership with the Department of Tourism-6 staged the much awaited The Vestido Ilongga 20/20 in a grand fashion spectacle!
Various fashion designers strutted their creations with the aim of promoting modern Filipiniana and Baro’t Saya made from local fabrics such as hablon, patadyong, katsa, piña and jusi in a sizzling fashion show.
The much-awaited fashion event took centerstage at the sprawling Activity Center wherein the top five designers; Frietz Von Pamplona, Mark Jerez, Robbie Philip Pacificar, Matt Yeu and Andy Española Basco presented their awesome collections before the scrutinizing eyes of the board of judges composed of Manila-based fashion icons led by Albert Andrada, Barge Ramos, Jojie Lloren and Jerome Lorico.
Matt Yeu won as the top winner with his Bandila-themed creations with the ensemble also garnering the best Terno Design while Friets Von Pamplona’s Dolenia collection won as the best Baro’t Saya masterpiece.
Gracing the event was DOT Regional Director Helen Catalbas and Iloilo Festival Foundation Chairman Judgee Peña.
