Finally, Brandon Vera will see action in the ring.
After a three-year hiatus in the heavyweight division, Vera now has a worthy opponent against one of the most intimidating figures in the world of mixed martial arts.
A former fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Arjan Singh Bhullar will now take his talents to ONE Fighting Championship to challenge Vera.
The mega-bout is already a done deal and will be the main event of ONE: Dangal on May 15 to be held in the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The Vera-Bhullar fight was supposed to take place last year at ONE: Infinity 1 in Manila but had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vera will have to fight over ring rust in the heavyweight division as his last bout in the division came three years ago against Mauro Cerilli.
Meanwhile, Bhullar is looking to maintain his momentum after scoring huge wins in his previous fights while holding an impressive record of 10-1.
Under the Vera-Bhullar fight card is a women’s atomweight clash between Bi Nguyen and Ritu Phogat and a showdown between Gurdarshan Mangat and Rosham Mainam.
