BACOLOD City – Police are looking at three possible angles behind the case of a vendor who was found lifeless at Sitio Bungyod, Barangay Camang-Camang, Isabela, Negros Occidental last Thursday.
The victim was identified by police as Arnold Carpina, 35, of Barangay San Pedro, Binalbagan town.
Police Captain Ryan Villasario, town police chief, said the victim had three stab wounds in his left armpit, left ear, and back portion of his neck, when found beside a rice field with his driven motorcycle.
Villasario said the victim may have been waylaid by the unidentified perpetrators.
Villasario said they are eyeing robbery, love triangle, or grudges as the possible motives in the crime, adding that the victim’s money was reportedly missing and he reportedly had many women.
“Nadula daw iya sales collection and damo daw siya bata sa lain-lain baye,” he added.
Villasario also said that they have learned that the victim had a misunderstanding with one of his friends recently.
Police already have persons of interest and they are working out the investigation.
