A 51-year-old female vendor was found deceased inside a bathhouse located at Barangay Rizal Pala-Pala Zone 2, City Proper, Iloilo City.
Rosana Dumalag’s body was discovered naked inside Daniel Bathhouse at around 8:20 p.m. on Saturday. Police received notification of the incident nearly an hour later.
The bathhouse attendant, Christian Drilon, reported that Dumalag entered the bath cubicle at about 7 p.m.
Concerned by the length of time she spent inside, Drilon knocked but received no answer, prompting him to force the door open and find Dumalag lying on her side with her clothes still hanging on the bathroom wall.
The Iloilo City Emergency Responders (ICER) team arrived to assist, but ICER nurse April Rose Juliaga confirmed the victim exhibited no vital signs.
The PNP Regional Forensic Unit 6 was also summoned to process the scene.
Jean Dumalag, the victim’s daughter, stated the family was unaware of any illness that Rosana may have been suffering from and does not suspect any foul play in her passing.
Rosana was known to manage their market stall located near the Iloilo Terminal Market.
