ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A banana vendor at Burgos Talipapa on Burgos street here added to the list of victims of fake money.
The son of the vendor said his mother fell for a fake P500 bill.
Based on the mother’s narration, she got the fake bill from a woman who bought banana fruits from her.
The vendor later discovered that the money was fake after another buyer took notice of the counterfeit bill.
The victim said she could not anymore remember the face of the woman who paid the fake bill.
Few days ago, some individuals also complained of receiving fake P500 and P1000 bills.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has warned the public against fake money circulating in the public.
