Vena Energy, a leading renewable energy provider in the Asia-Pacific, received the Bronze Award at the 2025 Corporate Social Impact (CSI) Awards hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
The company was recognized for its Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Program under the Community Impact & Civic Engagement category.
The award, presented in partnership with the U.S. Embassy, underscores Vena Energy’s commitment to sustainable development and community welfare beyond energy production.
Implemented through Helios Solar Energy Corp. (HSEC), a Vena Energy entity, the WASH Program is a partnership with the Cadiz City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and City Health Office (CHO).
The initiative targets the urgent need for improved hygiene and sanitation infrastructure in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The program is aligned with the company’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) pillars: Community Well-being and Infrastructure Development.
It also directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
“By addressing fundamental needs such as clean water and hygiene, Vena Energy shows its firm commitment to ensuring a healthy and resilient environment where its projects operate,” the company said in a statement.
Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante, Jr. praised the initiative, stating:
“HSEC’s generosity and commitment to creating a better future for children through the City’s Early Childhood Care Development Program are deeply appreciated, and our CSR partnership is making a significant difference and positive impact in our municipality.”
A decade-long legacy of local partnerships
The CSI award reflects Vena Energy’s long-standing partnership model with host communities and local government units across the Philippines.
“Vena Energy is deeply honored to receive this award, which validates our team’s hard work and commitment to our Filipino host communities,” said Samrinder Nehria, Head of Vena Energy Philippines.
Nehria emphasized the company’s dual focus: expanding clean energy infrastructure and ensuring inclusive growth for local partners.
“As we continue to develop clean energy infrastructure to meet the national goal of 35% renewable energy share by 2030, we remain focused on our shared responsibility: building a workplace where our people feel empowered and investing in meaningful programs that advance the well-being of our community partners.”
Integrating ESG into growth
Vena Energy attributes its recognition to its ongoing integration of global Environmental, Social, and Governance standards across its operations.
The company commits to expanding with the Philippines’ development goals while contributing to a low-carbon future.
The company’s renewable power portfolio spans 38 gigawatts (GW) across solar, onshore wind, and offshore wind. It is also developing 25 GW-hours (GWh) of battery energy storage systems and 848 kilotons per annum of green hydrogen and ammonia capacity.
Vena Energy currently operates with over 1,000 employees across 80 global offices, reinforcing its role as a major player in Asia-Pacific’s clean energy transition.
