Vena Energy unit named Cadiz City’s top taxpayer
Vena Energy’s project company, Helios Solar Energy Corp., has been recognized by the Cadiz City government in Negros Occidental as the Top 1 Real Property Taxpayer and Top 1 Business Taxpayer for 2025, underscoring the role of renewable energy investments in supporting local government revenues and economic development.
The recognition highlights how taxes paid by major private-sector investors help finance essential public services, infrastructure, education, and community development projects, providing direct benefits to residents while strengthening the fiscal capacity of local governments.
The awards were presented during Cadiz City’s annual recognition program for its top taxpayers held on July 6, 2026, at the Cadiz Arena.
The annual event recognizes individuals and organizations whose consistent tax contributions support the city’s continued growth and development.
According to Vena Energy, the recognition reflects more than regulatory compliance and demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to creating shared value in the communities where it operates.
The company said Helios Solar Energy Corp.’s timely payment of business and real property taxes contributes to funding essential public services, infrastructure, education, and community development initiatives that support the people and overall progress of Cadiz City.
“We are deeply honoured to receive this recognition from the Cadiz City Government,” said Samrinder Nehria, Head of Vena Energy in the Philippines.
“Being recognised as the city’s top business and real property taxpayer for nine consecutive years reflects our commitment to being a responsible long-term partner to our host communities. At Vena Energy, our role extends beyond delivering clean energy. We are equally committed to supporting local economic development and ensuring that the communities hosting our projects share the benefits of the energy transition.”
The company said the awards also demonstrate its commitment to responsible business practices, transparent corporate governance, and creating long-term socioeconomic value alongside its renewable energy developments.
As one of Cadiz City’s long-standing corporate partners, Vena Energy said it continues to work closely with local stakeholders to support sustainable growth while contributing to the Philippines’ clean energy goals.
The company added that it remains committed to empowering local communities, supporting sustainable economic development, and delivering clean and reliable energy while fulfilling its responsibilities as a corporate citizen.
