BACOLOD City – A motorcycle rider was crushed to death by a container van that fell from a trailer truck at Purok Langka Road, Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
Police identified the victim as Johny Aguire of the said village.
Based on police investigation, a truck and a motorcycle were traveling in opposite directions when the accident happened.
The victim was trapped under the container van. He was declared dead in a hospital.
The truck driver fled and later surrendered to the adjacent police station in E.B. Magalona town. He was then turned over to the custody of Silay City Police Station.
