Uswag Ilonggo Partylist Extends 6.09-M Financial Aid to Students in Iloilo’s 3rd District

A total of 609 students from Iloilo’s Third District received educational assistance from the Uswag Ilonggo Partylist during a distribution event held on August 10 in Pototan, Iloilo.
Each student was granted ₱10,000 to support their educational needs, marking the second time this assistance has been provided.
Uswag Ilonggo Partylist, led by Congressman Jojo Ang, reiterated its commitment to uplifting the youth in the district.
“We want to support our youth and their parents, and we share the dream of improving their lives one graduate at a time,” Ang emphasized.

Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., who was also present at the event, highlighted the significance of the financial aid in easing the burden on parents and contributing to the advancement of families in the district.
The event was well-attended, with Congressman Lorenz Defensor, the Third District representative, and all mayors from the Third District present to show their support for the program.
The financial aid was distributed through the Department of Social Welfare and Development, with Assistant Regional Director Joselito Estember also present at the event.
