USWAG ILONGGO EXTENDS 30-M FINANCIAL AID TO ILONGGO FAMILIES IN SOCCSKSARGEN

Demonstrating unwavering dedication to the welfare of Ilonggo families, Uswag Ilonggo Partylist Congressman Jojo Ang alongside Regional Chairman Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. and Iloilo Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias, provided financial aid to 8000 families in South Cotabato and General Santos City.
In South Cotabato, nearly 4000 families received 3000 pesos each at Surallah Gym on July 17th. This coordinated effort, supported by the Office of Congressman Peter Miguel of the 2nd District of South Cotabato, reached beneficiaries from Koronadal City, Tantangan, Lake Sebu, T’boli, Sto. Niño, Surallah, Norala, and Banga.
For the second round of distribution on July 18th at Lagao Gym in General Santos City, 2500 families were granted 5000 pesos each in financial assistance. This distribution was carried out in collaboration with the Office of Congressman Loreto Acharon of the Lone District of General Santos City,
All efforts were supported by Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. and Department of Social Welfare and Development Office Regional Director Loreto Cabaya Jr.
Ang affirmed Uswag Ilonggo’s commitment to supporting Ilonggos nationwide, stating, “We will come back to SOCCSKSARGEN. We will continue to assist the Ilonggos and implement more programs and projects to benefit them, even outside Western Visayas. We want to make them feel that they are not forgotten and also given top priority.”

Highlighting the impact of the initiative, Mayor Pedro Matinong, from the Municipality of Surallah expressed gratitude, stating, “This is the first time we have experienced such a large-scale distribution of financial assistance. We filled the entire gym and even extended outside, providing significant aid to our residents. We thank Uswag Ilonggo Partylist for making this possible.”
The two-day financial aid distribution coincided with the T’nalak Festival, marking the founding anniversary of South Cotabato, with Uswag Ilonggo Partylist also joining the celebration.
