USWAG ILONGGO BRINGS 478.75-M CONVENTION CENTER AND SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECTS TO GUIMARAS

Guimaras – Uswag Ilonggo Partylist Representative Cong. Jojo Ang, alongside Governor Dr. JC Rahman Nava, Guimaras Lone District Representative Dr. Lucille Nava, led the groundbreaking ceremony for the PHP 400-M Guimaras Arena and Convention Center and the unveiling of 78.75-M new school buildings across the province on August 30.

The Guimaras Arena, spanning 7,902 square meters, and the Convention Center, covering 6,690 square meters with a capacity of 5,000 seats, are set to enhance the province’s tourism infrastructure. The project, with initial budget at PHP 130-M from Uswag Ilonggo and Office of Cong. Nava, for its initial phase, is expected to be completed by 2027.

In addition, the partylist with the legislative office of Cong. Nava, will fund the construction of two-storey, four-classroom buildings at Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava National High School in San Lorenzo,  Sabang Central School in Sibunag, East Valencia National High School in Buenavista, Jordan National High School, and Nueva Valencia National High School.

“Beyond infrastructure for Guimaras tourism, we are also addressing educational needs by adding classrooms to accommodate the growing student population,” said Ang.

Governor Nava thanked the Uswag Ilonggo Partylist for its continuous support, while Schools Division Superintendent Novelyn Vilchez and DPWH Regional Director Engr. Sanny Boy Oropel represented their respective departments at the events. Board members, provincial officials, mayors of all municipalities and all 97 barangay captains graced the event.
