The UP Fight-Iloilo supports Covid-19 vaccination efforts of the Iloilo City government by spearheading the UPV Iloilo City campus operation.
Headed by Dr. Marovi Celis and Atty. Nellie Regalado, the alumni group composed of the UPAA-Iloilo Chapter and iAmUPHi, called for volunteers to help in the vaccination program at the UPV Iloilo City campus on July 5-8, 2021.
Without hesitation, a throng of alumni volunteers from UP High School in Iloilo and the UP Visayas, Division of Biological Science alumni in the medical field responded.
Medical professionals from other schools, such as Central Philippine University and West Visayas State University, also came to help. The following are the list of doctor volunteers:

The UPV vaccination site was later commended for its fast and efficient process, which strictly followed Covid-19 protocols.
The Iloilo City Government officially assigned the following to facilitate vaccination roll out in UP Visayas: Vaccination Operations Head Noel Panaguiton, Site Leader and Brgy. Capt. Reyland Hervias, and Doctor in Charge Dr. Jennifer Castro.
UP Visayas agency workers from the Janitorial Services to the Security guards who are part of the UPV frontline services were able to avail of the vaccination.
They were appreciative of the Iloilo City Government and UPV’s efforts to include them in the program. (UPV-IPO)
