‘Unruly’ Man Shot Dead Outside Dance Hall in Tapaz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 22-year-old man was shot dead outside a dance hall Tuesday evening, May 6, in Barangay Artuz, Tapaz, Capiz.
The Tapaz Municipal Police Station identified the victim as alias “Biboy,” a resident of the said village.
According to police investigation, the victim reportedly caused a disturbance inside the dance hall before his older brother intervened and urged him to go home.
While on his way home, an unidentified suspect appeared and shot him with a 12-gauge homemade shotgun.
The suspect fled to an unknown location after the incident.
The victim’s mother, Nanay Nene, said she witnessed the shooting but could not identify the suspect because it was dark.
The incident occurred during a benefit dance being held in the village.
The victim was rushed to Tapaz District Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Police are continuing their investigation.
