The University of St. La Salle (USLS) is expanding to Panay Island with the construction of a new campus in Pavia, Iloilo.
USLS has partnered with Property Company of Friends, Inc. (Profriends), the property and township development subsidiary of Maplecrest Group Inc., to establish its second campus in Western Visayas.
“This partnership with Profriends opens new avenues for educational opportunities and community development, allowing us to better serve the needs of the region,” said USLS President Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez, FSC, DMin.
A ceremonial launch for the Iloilo campus is scheduled for Monday, October 7.
USLS and Profriends recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement and Deeds of Donation formalizing their partnership for the new Iloilo campus.
The campus will offer business programs aligned with the Lasallian mission of “teaching minds, touching hearts, and transforming lives.”
The USLS administration highlighted that the expansion will foster stronger academe-industry linkages while providing holistic Lasallian education in the Panay region.
Plans for the USLS Iloilo campus were first revealed during the Metro-Iloilo Guimaras Economic Development Council Investment Forum in November last year.
