UnionBank of the Philippines signed a memorandum of understanding with the Social Security System to launch SSS LoanLite, a fully digital lending program that offers affordable and accessible loans for everyday needs and unexpected expenses.
The program builds on the 40-year partnership between SSS and UnionBank and aligns with SSS’s broader push for digitalization and financial inclusion.
Active SSS members who are also UnionBank customers can access short-term loans ranging from PHP 1,000 to PHP 20,000, with repayment terms of 15 to 90 days.
Applications can be filed through the UnionBank app, and approved loans are credited instantly, giving members quicker access to cash when they need it most.
Backed by the partnership between SSS and UnionBank, SSS LoanLite is positioned as a more convenient borrowing option for Filipinos and a safeguard against informal lenders.
