De La Salle University (DLSU) superstar Noel Kampton quickly turned a new page in his young volleyball career after signing with PSNKK Club in the Volleyball Thailand League (VTL) confirmed on June 9, 2025.
After spending the past four seasons donning the green and white jersey, the high-flying outside hitter will have to get used to wearing the light blue threads as he is set to boost VTL’s bronze medalist during the 2024-2025 season.
“Welcome, Noel Kampton, the player from the Philippines. For Volleyball Thailand League season 2025-2026,” posted PSNKK Club on their social media accounts.
Before agreeing to the contract terms, Kampton spent the past month training with the Alas Pilipinas, the country’s national volleyball team.
However, Kampton’s name wasn’t included in the team’s official lineup for the upcoming Invitational tournament until June 12, 2025, at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
It remains to be determined whether he will be lined up when the men’s national team will kick off their campaign in the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championships.
Known for his swag and unique angles to score the ball, Kampton went beast mode for DLSU in his fourth and final season after recording a total of 274 points, the most in the UAAP.
The evolution of his all-around game was also evident, after improving from a one-dimensional offensive player to an efficient middle blocker in the latter part of his UAAP career.
During his final year in Season 87, Kampton gracefully exited the UAAP and thanked the thousands of supporters who showed love to him every scheduled game.
“Thank you La Salle!!! Lumots, mahal na mahal na mahal ko kayo!!! Pasensya na kung pinag tatangol niyo ako lalo na yung mga times na may mga nagawa akong mali. Sobrang thank you at gina-guide niyo ako,” Kampton posted on his official X account.
