There will be no do-or-die game 3 to be played between the Adamson University and the University of Santo Tomas in the UAAP high school women’s basketball championship.
Right after the UAAP committee announced that they will suspend all activities amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the league has decided to cancel the knockout game and award both of the teams as champs.
The first game was taken by UST, 73-68, while the next featured a gutsy win by Adamson, 79-74, to force a deciding game.
Ewon Arayi, the Lady Baby Falcons’ head coach, made things interesting in Game 2 as he switched up gears and started to play with the pace of UST that intrigued most in how both teams did their adjustments.
On the other hand, UST tried to figure out the main shifts to be made after getting outran by Adamson, a scenario which usually favors the former.
Game 3 was originally scheduled last March 6, 2020.
