Two young women were arrested after they allegedly sold illegal drugs to police afternoon of June 14, 2022 in La Paz, Iloilo City.
Police identified the suspects as Zarahmer Alba, 23, a resident of Barangay Kasing-Kasing, Molo, Iloilo City and Ma. Riza Gregorie, 20, of Zone 2 Barangay Baldosa, La Paz.
Alba, who was the subject of the operation, agreed to sell shabu at the La Paz public market in Barangay Burgos Mabini.
It was believed that she asked her friend Gregorie to accompany her.
The duo sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P4,200 to an undercover cop.
Major Jose Val Ladublan said both suspects are newly identified drug personalities.
Alba’s name was placed on police watch following the arrest of her live-in partner last month.
“We believe that she took over the business left behind by her partner,” Ladublan said.
The suspects have been charged for violation of Sections 5 and 26, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
