ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Two persons wanted for sexual assault and light threats, respectively, were arrested in separate operations Thursday in Sigma and Ivisan towns.
The Sigma Municipal Police Station and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-Capiz) nabbed Roberto Matillano, 36, a farmer from Barangay Mangoso Sigma for the crime of sexual assault.
The warrant for Matillano’s arrest was issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 21 Judge Rommel L. Leonor (Mambusao-Capiz) on Oct 15, 2020.
The court recommended a P108,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, the Ivisan Municipal Police Station led by Police Captain Gregg Anthony Salbang arrested Arnold Villar, 49, of Brgy. Basiao Ivisan.
The warrant for his arrest was issued by Municipal Circuit Trial Court Judge Ramces John Honrado of Dao, Capiz on Oct 15.
The suspect is facing 10-day imprisonment as penalty to the crime committed. He is presently detained at the said police station.
