ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons wanted for rape and frustrated homicide were arrested by police in separate occasions on Saturday.
The Jamindan police collared Rey John Vispo, 20, at his house in Barangay Maantol, Jamindan, Capiz.
Vispo is wanted for violation of Republic Act 7610 (An Act Providing for Stronger Deterrence and Special Protection Against Child Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination and other purposes).
He was detained at Jamindan Municipal Police Station for failure to post the P200,000 bail.
Meanwhile, the Sapian police nabbed Omar Lubin, 32, of Poblacion Sapian while at the house of a relative at Sitio Pastuhan Brgy. Agsilab Sapian. He is charged for the crime of frustrated homicide.
The arrest warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Romel Leonor of Branch 21, Mambusao Capiz on August 12, 2020.
Lubin failed to post the P72,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
He was charged after he hacked with a bolo a certain Manuel Parohinog, 46, of Sitio Pirara also in Sapian due to old grudges.
